Mitsui Chemicals has made an informal decision to construct plants with world-scale capacities of 300,000 t/y of phenol and 150,000 t/y of bisphenol A(BPA)as a single line,with operational startups slated for 2010.The expected total investment will be more than ￥35 bn(304 mn).
