Italy's Novamont to Double Biodegradable Plastic Capacity

Italy's Novamont plans to make substantial increases in its production capacity for biodegradable plastic.In an interview with this newspaper,A.Ferlito,Novamont Commercial Director,said that the target is to double the production capacity of the company's core product,brand name Mater-Bi,at its Terni plant,to 50,000 t/y by the second half of 2007.The major component of Mater-Bi is starch.
