Mitsubishi Chem JV Building 600,000-t/y PTA Plant in China

摘要

Plant construction is underway at Ningbo Mitsubishi Chemical,the first Japanese-affiliated purified terephthalic acid (PTA) maker in China.With pile driving almost completed,the joint venture - owned 61% by Mitsubishi Chemical,35% Itochu,4% Mitsubishi Corp.,and 10% by China Interna- tional Trust & Investment Corp.- has started building a 600,000-t/y PTA plant on Daxie Island in Ningbo,Zhejiang Province.A reactor and other core equipment are due to be brought in,next month,for installation beginning September,with production startup in September 2006.
