Shield Lab,a Tokyo-based consignment processing company of health foods and chemical products,has obtained,from German drug maker Viatris,the exclusive right for use in Japan of know-how,including that pertinent to manufacture,relating to a unique antioxidant,alpha-lipoic acid.The know-how encompasses the nanometer-sized encapsulation of alpha-lipoic acid,which is easy to denature,using cyclodextrin (cyclic oli-gosaccharide).
