Asahi Denka Developing Thai Base into Fine Chemicals Supply Center

Asahi Denka Kogyo has positioned its Thai affiliate Adeka Fine Chemical(Thailand)as an Asian supply center for fine products such as polymer stabilizers and specialty additives and it is embarking on a strengthening and augmentation of its production capabilities.In June of this year,the first stage of a facility for lead-free stabilizers located on the Eastern Seaboard of Rayong Province was completed and started up but because demand for use in automobile wire harnesses is strong in Thailand,the plan is to double capacity from 3,000 t/y to 6,000 t/y by the middle of next year,and over the next three years,plans call for construction of new plants for specialty additive as well as various other products.
