Petronas to Build New 1.8 Mn-t/y Methanol Plant by End 2007

Malaysia's Petronas has decided to construct a world-scale 1.8 mn-t/y methanol plant fed with natural gas feedstock at Labuan in Malaysia.Subsidiary Petronas Methanol will implement the project.Germany's Lurgi will handle engineering and completion is targeted by the end of 2007.
