Bayer CropScience was born through the merger of the agricultural chemicals business of Bayer and Aventis CropScience. It started operations in June of 2002. With high global rankings of number one for pesticides, number 3 for herbicides, and number 2 for fungicides, and a balanced product portfolio that covers the entire market, the company started life as the second-ranked concern globally.
