Degussa is strengthening its amino acid activities in China through its 95% owned joint venture. In line with this, the company has announced that the joint venture has started constructing a new plant for the production of pharmaceutical grade L-methionine. The company is currently also building a plant for amino acids used in parenteral solutions, which will soon be completed.
