INTERNATIONAL CIAB releases roadmap for clean coal development

The International Energy Agency's Coal Industry Advisory Board (IEA CIAB) has released a new report entitled 21s'Century Coal: Advanced Technology and Global Energy Solution. According to the press release, the report focuses on "the technology path to near-zero emissions, including useful insights in advanced coal power generation and carbon capture, utilisation and storage." It also discusses the capabilities of new generation coal-fired power plants to operate flexibly for dynamic operation and grid stability - key requirements on grids with high wind and solar generation.
