摘要

The Polish government has announced plans to restructure the troubled state-owned coal miner, Kompania Weglowa (KW). KW is the largest coal producer in Europe but has been hard hit by falling coal prices and a failure to modernise its aging mines. The company lost 260 million euros in the first 11 months of last year and is weighed down by almost 1 billion euros of liabilities.
