CHINA EDF to help build and operate an ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant

French electricity producer, EDF, is to take a 49% stake in Datang International Fuzhou Power Generation Co. (FPC), a joint venture with China Datang Corp. (CDT), which will build and operate an ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant of two units with an output of 1000 MW each. Construction works have just started on the Fuzhou site in Jiangxi Province in South-Eastern China.
