WELLDOG New mining breakthrough prevents disasters and cuts costs

Technology developed in the US and Australia promises to reduce the risk of outbursts and explosions in underground coal mining and save lives around the world, while simultaneously cutting exploration costs for the industry. WellDog has commercialised an innovative coal gas testing technology which, for the first time, will allow mining companies to accurately detect and map underground gas characteristics before mining without drilling the extra wells required by slower and more expensive "core sampling" techniques.
