RISING TO THE CHALLENGE

In 2015 MTU Friedrichshafen, a subsidiary of Tognum, will introduce the Tier 4 final version of its Series 4000 engine for the mining industry. The new generation mining engine was developed to meet the most stringent off-road emissions mandates from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) - without the use of any exhaust gas after-treatment. It also incorporates the product requirements of major mining OEMs and input from end users.
