In heavy machinery used in coal mines,including draglines,excavators,crushers,conveyors and mills,the damage caused by water contamination in gear boxes can be severe.Damage attributable to water ingress in the lubricant can greatly increase unscheduled downtime,significantly reduce productivity and necessitate the installation of costly and complex new equipment.
