BULK MATERIALS HANDLING REVIEW

Bedeschi has designed a new type of ship-Bedeschi SHL, which uses an telescopic chute to minimize dust product breakages. The translating portal is on the quay and the conveyor belts receive bulk materials from a tripper. The assembled semiportal structure works with wheels that are located in each corner. There are four groups of twin wheels that run on the rails and an upper group carrying the pillar on which the boom is hinged with the conveyor belt and the loading telescopic tube. The upper group is linked to the portal by means of a toothed slewing ring that allows the 180 deg rotation. The telescopic tube is operated by a cable winch and its vertical movement is guided by a system of mobile carriages ,on guiding wheels that prevent possible deformations of the discharging tube during the various movements. A launching conveyor high speed device is assembled to the lower top of the telescopic tube by means of a rotating slewing device. On the pillar opposed to the boom there is a structure carrying the winch for the boom movement and the counterweight for balancing.
