US--Riversdale Resources awarded exploration rights in Alaska

Riversdale Resources Pty Ltd, the company headed by Steve Mallyon and Michael O'Keeffe, the former Riversdale Mining executives and architects of the African coal miner's buyout by Rio Tinto, has won mining exploration rights in an auction for the Chickaloon coal deposit in Alaska.
