My introduction to Minova was in 1998 when the company acquired Willich where I had worked as a mining engineer in Germany since 1993. Minova appointed me CEO in Europe and Russia in 2002, heading up Minova CarboTech in Germany, and I was instrumental in developing our European business, particularly in Russia and by expanding the civil engineering side into a significant operation throughout Europe. As the newly appointed CEO of Minova, I am very excited about the part I can play in the future prospects of the re-shaped company. Minova has grown into the second largest platform under the Orica umbrella. By blending the specialist qualities of Minova and recent acquisitions, supported by the reach and depth of Orica, a new and unique organisation has emerged which will provide the global mining, tunnelling and civils industries with an even better and more tailored offering.
