摘要

The way coal disintegrates during milling strongly affects the way the pulverised coal behaves during combustion. Little is known about how disintegration is influenced by the milling conditions. Research in this field is limited and focuses mainly on particle size distribution. But of equal importance is how the different organic and inorganic elements are distributed over the different size fractions and how the structure, shape and texture of the particles are affected. This is largely unknown territory, but is of utmost importance to the development of clean coal technology involving both power plants and cement works.
