New Investments

The Vietnamese government is to invest over VND28,142bn in its key five industries in 2001 in a bid to boost competitiveness and productivity. Coal is one of the five sectors to receive the investment, which marks a 27 percent increase on last year.The coal sector will be awarded VND1610bn, the bulk of which will go to the Vietnam Coal Corporation.
