The Nantong coal mine is composed of six mines,the first of which was opene din the 1930s.The mines are notoriously gassy and the extraction system as a result is amongst the most extensive in the country.Coal is extracted from diagonally sloping seams using a complex network of tunnels and a pre-mining CMM drainage system.
