Globally,hundreds of production days are lost every year because of bearing failures.Even if the operator invests in high quality lubricants,poor lubrication practices,which result in over lubrication,grease starvation or contamination,can lead to bearing failure,expensive maintenance and unplanned downtime.Often it is the case that considerable resource is put into managing the lubrication process,but the methods used cannot address the very challenging needs of large-scale equipment in an unforgiving mining environment,which typify the mining industry.In most of these cases,the use of an advanced single point lubricator system can provide a solution,ensuring optimum lubrication of bearings at all times to aid maximum asset value delivery.
