Some of the proper tyre maintenance techniques have been around for decades. They include maintaining proper air pressure, maintaining wheel and wheel components, respecting tyre load and speed limits, timely rotation of tyres, cleaning the loading areas and maintaining haul roads. By closely monitoring these factors, a mine site manager can increase tyre life, improve productivity and encourage a safer work environment.
