WORLD'S LARGEST TYRE

Bridgestone Corporation is to launch the 59/80R63 V-Steel E-Lug S, the world's largest tyre, in Spring 2002. It has been developed for the next generation of ultra-large, six-wheel dump trucks that will carry loads of up to 400t.The giant radial tyre, aimed at customers in the mining industry, is over 4.02m tall, 4ft 10in. wide and weighs over 5t. It is the first tyre to have a nominal load rating of over 100t.
