[UAE] Round-up of the 17th Arab International Cement Conference & Exhibition

The annual Arab International Cement Conference and Exhibition, also known as the AUCBM Conference due to the fact that it is organised by the Arab Union for Cement and Building Materials, has become a staple of the cement world calendar. Organised out of Damascus, the location of the conference moves annually, and in December 2012 it was held in the Dubai World Trade Centre. Attendance was a little slimmed down, perhaps due to the event's proximity to the Christmas holidays, but the conference still attracted some 650 participants from around the world, making it one of the year's biggest cement-specific events.
