An Additional New Species to the Genus Colon (Coleoptera: Leiodidae: Coloninae) from the Ryukyus, Japan

摘要

A new species, Colon (Myloechus) pseudorubellum Hoshina & Nishikawa, sp. nov., is described from Amami-Oshima Is. C. (M.) ryukyuense Hoshina & Fukuzawa, 2010 is recorded for the first time from that island. A key to Ryukyuan species of the subfamily Coloninae is given. As a result of this study, the number of Japanese species of Coloninae becomes eighteen.
