Toshiba Carrier Doubly Wins Energy Conservation Grand Prize for Commercial and Residential ACs

In January of this year, Toshiba Carrier won the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Prize for its light commercial 'Super Power Eco Cube' air conditioner series (named the Super Digital Inverter 4 series overseas) and the Chairman of Energy Conservation Center Prize for its residential 'Daiseikai' PDR air conditioner series (named the Super Daiseikai overseas) in the 19th Energy Conservation Grand Prize Program, aimed at commending high energy saving equipment/systems, of 2008. This program is sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). The award winners were commended for excellent energy saving technologies in the store, office and residential air conditioner segment. The residential Daiseikai air conditioner series received the prize for the second year in a row.
