Air Conditioner Giants Seize Projects in Transportation Market

During recent months, many transportation infrastructure projects have been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). At the end of September, NDRC approved the issuing by China Railway of bonds up to RMB 300 billion (US$ 44 billion). According to China Association of Metros, metro construction had been approved in 39 cities across China by last September. NDRC announced that China's promising market is not real estate, but instead is rail transit. Rail transit systems needed in China are far in excess of 6,000 km, presenting a total market value of up to RMB 10 trillion (US$ 1.5 trillion).
