Overview of Sealing Technologies

Sealing components are widely used in different industrial machine systems, including automobiles and other transportation vehicles, as well as electric power generation plants and other energy-related equipment. The roles of the sealing component include the tight retention of working fluid, such as water or oil, in the machine system, provision of compatibility between the working fluid and sliding material, and fulfillment of tribological requirements (good lubricity) to realize satisfactory machine performance in the destined service application.
