A New Merionoeda (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) from the Island of Bali, Indonesia

A new species of the genus Merionoeda PASCOE is described as the first representative of the genus from Bali Island of Indonesia under the name of M. baliana sp. nov. It has a close relationship in the matted elytra and the male femoral structure to M. scitella PASCOE from Borneo, but is easily distinguished from the latter by the unicolored black elytra and longer legs. The peculiar velvety depression on the male femoral clubs of the new species and its relative are illustrated and briefly discussed.
