Taxonomic Notes on Some Japanese Coprophagous Lamellicorn Beetles (Coleoptera, Scarabaeoidea) VI. Descriptions of Three New Taxa

An ochodaeid new subspecies, Ochodaeus interruptus horii from Amami-Oshima, the Ryukyus, an aphodiine new species, Myrhessus yorikoae, from Central Japan, and an aphodiine new subspecies, Mozartius jugosus horii, from Fukue-jima Is. in Goto Isls., Western Japan are described. Recently, the fauna of Japanese coprophagous scarab-beetles has become clearer and clearer. This may be considered due to the popularization of new collecting techniques, e.g. FIT (flight intercept trap) etc.
