ARTOPEDEN A, A NEW ANTIPLASMODIAL ISOPRENYLATED FLAVONE FROM ARTOCARPUS CHAMPEDEN

A new isoprenylated flavone, artopeden A (1) was isolated from the barks of Artocarpus champeden (Moraceae), and the structure was elucidated by NMR spectral analysis. Artopeden A (1) showed a potent antiplasmodial activity with an IC_(50) of 0.045 μg/mL against Plasmodium falciparum 3D7.
