Heterocyclic compounds (5-9) were synthesized and reacted with 4,5-bis (bromomethyl) benzo-15-crown-5 to afford the fused benzocrown -heterocycle ligands (10-14).The complexing ability of these macrocyclic ligands toward Li~+,Na~+,K~+,Mg~(2+),Ca~(2+),Li~+/Mg~(2+) and Li~+/K~+ was measured by the solvent extraction method.The data show that extractability of the double cations enhances remarkably when compared with the extraction ability of the single cation.
