HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE AACR SPECIAL CONFERENCE ON 'ADVANCES IN BREAST CANCER RESEARCH: GENETICS, BIOLOGY AND CLINICAL APPLICATIONS'

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) organized a Special Conference on "Advances in Breast Cancer Research: Genetics, Biology and Clinical Applications" on October 13-16, 2009, held in the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina, San Diego, California, USA. The conference was organized under the category of special conferences. The objective of the conference was to discuss recent advances, including discoveries in genetics, cell and molecular biology, that are relevant to mammary development, transformation and breast cancer progression. This report provides a comprehensive outlook of the proceedings conducted during the conference, which addressed several aspects of breast cancer research under distinct theme sessions.
