EUROPEAN HEMATOLOGY ASSOCIATION -17~(TM) ANNUAL CONGRESS AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS - JUNE 14-17, 2012

The 17th Congress of the European Hematology Association was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and was comprised of 18 educational and 56 scientific sessions, along with 1,005 posters. The congress attracted 9,201 attendees who came from top research centers and universities, as well as pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The aim of the meeting was to present the latest news on R&D of the origin and the treatment of blood-related diseases, and to promote excellence in clinical and practice research and education in hematology. The most popular topics of the conference were non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and multiple myeloma. This report reviews some of the new advances within the field, from new clinical results obtained from ongoing studies, to the description of novel therapeutic products in their initial stages of development.
