摘要

MRI revealed a thin-walled, dilated, tortuous vertebral artery up to the level of the inferior end of the medulla oblongata that was communicating with the ventral epidural veins and left paraspinal veins. Dilated epidural veins-which decrease the epidural -space and compress the spinal cord and shift it to the right-extended from the C5 to Cl level. No bone erosion was seen. Doppler ultrasound confirmed a thin-walled, dilated, elongated cavity widi high-grade vascularity. Internal jugular vein showed pulsatile high-velocity and low-resistance blood flow and was arterialized with the absence of normal pressure waves. Both MRI and Doppler ultrasound confirmed the presence of arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in the neck.
