Oxide composites Li(Na,K,Rb,Cs)/W/Mn/SiO2 obtained by the ceramic method exhibit unprecedented activity, selectivity, and stability in the methane oxidative coupling (MOC) reaction yielding ethylene [1—4]. The yield of the C_(2+) products (ethylene, ethane, propylene, butenes) of the MOC catalyzed by the Li/W/Mn/SiO2 catalyst synthesized by the ceramic method is as large as 20% in the temperature range 850-950°C [1].
