The electron microscopic investigation of soil solutions carried out in discovered that colloidal particles in soils are fixed on a substrate and form structures that visually resemble fractal clusters.These results implied that soil colloids have a fractal organization.However,it was impossible to definitely conclude that fractal structures exist in soil solutions or the oozy fraction of soils:similar structures can likewise appear during sample preparation for electron microscopic experiments.
