摘要

Diatom analysis is regarded as one of the most informative bioindication methods for assessment of transformations occurring in freshwater ecosystems. Diatom algae (class Bacillariophyceae, division Ochrophyta) are a widespread group of algae that iswell preserved in sediments owing to the silica frus-tules. Their abundance and species composition strongly depend on the physical and chemical characteristics of aqueous medium, in which they are ubiquitous.
