The purpose of the shot end or injection system of a die casting machine is simple: to inject or push the molten material into the mold, at a controlled rate. The theory is simple, but the application continues to grow in complexity. Die casting machine users require an injection system that is flexible and repeatable. The system must be flexible enough to perform the most difficult injection profiles and repeatable enough to establish a stable process for production. As the die casting industry continues to require increased capability, it refuses to forfeit reliable mechanical design and serviceability.
