Announcement: Professor A. S. Mujumdar Medal for Outstanding Mentorship and Sustained Excellence in Drying Research—IDS2012 Award Presented to Professor Roger Keey

The Professor A. S. Mujumdar Medal for Outstanding Mentorship and Excellence in Drying Research was instituted in 2007 and was first awarded to Professor C. Strumillo of Lodz Technical University, Poland, at the 5th Asia-Pacific Drying Conference (ADC2007), which was held in Hong Kong and chaired by Professor Guohua Chen. This Medal has been instituted by former students and research associates of Prof. Mujumdar from several parts of the world, led by Prof. Guohua Chen of HKUST, Hong Kong. A key requirement for the recipient is that he/ she should have mentored a number of researchers who are independently making outstanding contributions to drying R&D. This naturally limits the number of potential awardees around the world.
