摘要

Aluminum matrix composites (AMC) mixed joints are of special interest regarding to commercial applications. Therefor suitable joining technologies need to be provided. The properties of the different materials lead to various requirements on the joining process. For example, a local energy input is necessary due to the low thermal stability of the AMC. In this work, arc brazing of AMC to stainless steel with a developed filler based on the ternary eutectic system Al-Ag-Cu is investigated. The results of alloying the filler and the joining experiments are described and discussed. The microstructure of the filler and the joints is characterized by SEM and TEM as well as XRD measurements.
