Fellows provide science-based veterinary and public health expertise to members of Congress. The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) recently announced Tristan Colo-nius, DVM, Donald Hoenig, DVM, and Kaylee Myhre, DVM, as its 2012-2013 AVMAfellows. The program involves veterinarians in the process of creating federal public policy, as AVMA fellows work with members of Congress and provide expertise on science-based veterinary-and public health-related issues.
