Latin American maize genetic resources: conservation, regeneration, and forming core subsets

Progress in the conservation of maize genetic resources from the Americas has been dramatic in the last ten years including, among other things, improved passport and seed inventory information, better preservation conditions in banks, and region-wide cooperation in regeneration, documentation, and improving access to germplasm holdings.
