Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that HD-capable DSLR hybrids are the rage this year, and deservedly so. Although Nikon was the first to bring a hybrid digital single-lens reflex and high-definition video camera to market, it was Canon that caused the real stir, offering a gargantuan sensor (24mm x 36mm) in their EOS 5D Mark II camera, and then following that fairly quickly with my favorite, the EOS 7D, which features an APS-C sensor nearly exactly the same size as the Super 35mm chip in the Panavision Genesis or RED cameras — at a fraction of the cost!
