Over the past couple of months, I've been scouring iTunes, tech forums and Web sites, researching and studying all the applications I can find that can be of use for digital shooters using the the Apple iCrack, er, iPod/iPhone. Some are just plain silly. There's an abundance of digital slates and depth-of-field calculators, as well as photo editing software, many that are indistinguishable. Quite a few iApps, however, like Chemical Wedding's Helios Sun Position Calculator, which I reviewed in September's issue, stand out as essential tools for the professional.
