摘要

The emission of a short ultra-wideband electromagnetic pulse from the open end of an irregular waveguide was reported. The method of calculating horn emitters of ultra-wideband electromagnetic pulses (UWB EMP) permits application to irregular waveguides and the verification of results obtained. A horn pulse-emitting device consists of the connection of a coaxial line of a segment of irregular waveguide with simply connected cross sections and of the open space. The coaxial line involved the regular part and the irregular segment. The linear quantities including the linear spatial coordinates were assumed to be normalized to a certain linear scale L. The exact value of the energy W(t) accumulated in the pulse was independent of t due to the absence of the energy dissipation.
