Transition to Chaos in Dynamics of Four Point Vortices on a Plane

摘要

The process of transition to chaos in the system of four point vortices on a plane is studied. A method for constructive reduction of order for systems of point vortices on a plane is presented. The existence of a cascade of period doubling bifurcations is indicated.
