Transgastric endoscopic biliary drainage in an old patient with complete ligation of the common bile duct at cholecystectomy

An 83-year-old patient with obstructive jaundice and chol-angitis was referred to our center after unsuccessful attempts at endoscopic biliary drainage in another hospital. The cause of jaundice was accidental ligation of the proximal common bile duct (CBD) during a recent open cholecystectomy because of necrotizing cholecystitis.
