摘要

Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is a rare pathology that represents 2.5 % of all bone tumors and 7 % of benign bone tumors [1]. It is most commonly found in female patients under the age of 30 [2]. It is an idiopathic disorder and is a malformation characterized by an intramedullary cavity proliferation of fibrous tissue with woven bony trabeculae and spindle-shaped fibroblasts [3]. The most affected craniofacial bones are maxilla, mandible, frontal, sphenoid, and temporal bones [4].
