摘要

Most incidents are routinely managed by emergency doctors and paramedics. Nevertheless, some events are able to bring even experienced rescue workers to their personal limit. In situations of functional or emotional overload threatens a serious reduction of perception, mental and communicative abilities. The probability of mistakes during the medical treatment increases severely. In extreme situations, an effective care-giving might be temporarily impossible. In this context, this article thematizes psychological self-help-strategies. These are intended to help emergency doctors and paramedics to maintain or to resume their self-control and their personal ability to act, especially in psychologically exceptional situations.
